An oversized gym tee should look relaxed, not accidental. The difference usually comes down to proportion, length, and what you pair it with.
1. Let One Piece Be the Oversized Piece
If the tee is roomy, keep the rest of the outfit controlled. Athletic shorts, tapered joggers, or straight-leg sweats balance the silhouette without making the whole fit look shapeless.
2. Pay Attention to Length
Oversized does not have to mean extra-long. A tee that gives you room through the chest and shoulders while still landing at a clean point on the body usually looks more intentional.
3. Use It as a Pump Cover
Layering an oversized tee over a tank or training top gives you an easy warmup-to-workout transition. When the session heats up, the outer layer comes off and the fit still works.
4. Keep the Color Story Simple
Two or three colors are usually enough. Neutral bottoms let a graphic tee carry the outfit, while a clean shoe or hat can repeat one accent color without fighting the shirt.
5. Build Around Pieces You’ll Actually Wear
For a relaxed OTM look, start with the Gym Therapy Tee, OTM Heritage Tee, or Built Different Tee. Each gives you a different graphic direction while staying in the same gym-to-street lane.
The rule is simple: wear the oversized fit on purpose. When the proportions make sense, it looks like style—not like you grabbed the wrong size.
